The Nepal & Himalayan Fundraising Ball

As you may know My Peak Potential are leading  a group of students to the Himalya on October of this year.  A large part if this trip is to help with a community project in Kathmandu. This will be for a Self-Help Group for Cerebral Palsy (SGCP). Please see further info on their great work below and what the team will be getting involved with. In order to raise money for this very important trip the team are hosting an unmissable Fundraising Ball. It promises to be a great event and we hope to see many friends of My Peak Potential there.

We are delighted to invite you to a glittering evening of entertainment at The Nepal & Himalayan Fundraising Ball.

Date:         Saturday 6th June 2009

Venue:       The Pavilion Suite, Elland Road, Leeds

Time:         Welcome Drinks at 7.15pm. Carriages 1am.

Dress code: Dress to Impress

The spectacular evening will include guest celebrities from the sporting world, a champagne reception, 4 course dinner with wine, live band, disco and auction.

Our aim for the evening is firstly to raise money for an organisation in Nepal and secondly to ensure all our supporters have a memorable evening’s entertainment.

The Himalayan Expedition led by Dave Bunting MBE with a selected team of 22 staff and students from Leeds Metropolitan University will visit Nepal in October 2009.

In Nepal the team will link up with a community based not-for-profit project called the Self-Help Group for Cerebral Palsy (SGCP). SGCP provides care, comfort and relief to children with cerebral palsy and supports their parents. The team will be working at SGCP, helping them to finish the construction of a new rehab centre. We also aim to provide them with financial support – just £1,600 enables them to employ a community outreach worker for a whole year so your support really can make a difference.
