Leeds Metropolitan University

My Peak Potential are business partners of Leeds Metropolitan University, one of the largest UK universities with 35,000 students and 3,500 staff. They work very closely with the university's Faculty of Sport and Education, Carnegie Great Outdoors.

The partnership between My Peak Potential and the University was originally established in 2004 in the lead up to the Everest West Ridge 2006 expedition led by My Peak Potential's directors. The University provided specialist support for all three teams prior to and during the expedition, in the fields of nutrition, physiology, psychology and peak performance.

On return from the Himalaya the relationship moved forward into a strong partnership with My Peak Potential. The University has approved and validated the material and methodology used by My Peak Potential in the Masters Degree in Leadership: personal and professional development. We continue to work closely with Leeds Metropolitan University; contributing to their Staff Development and Leadership Programmes and working with them on Student Development Programmes. These are aimed at giving Leeds Met graduates ‘an edge' in the employment market . We also provide outdoor expertise for events in the UK and overseas expeditions. Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland

In 2008 My Peak Potential were awarded the status of Academic Partner of The Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ASGBI). This was in recognition of our contribution to the development of their leadership programme. This programme of study is recommended by the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland as ideal for surgeons and other senior medical practitioners wanting to develop themselves as leaders.

Both Steve Jackson (MD) and Dave Bunting (Director of Training) have presented on leadership at ASGBI events and conferences including their International Surgical Congress in 2008 and we continue to develop our close relationship with this organization.

Outlook Expeditions

Set up in 2001, Outlook Expeditions delivers overseas expeditions and UK based adventures to schools and youth groups from across the UK. They also offer outdoor industry training and assessment courses.

They are committed to offering challenging, safe, life changing and environmentally aware expeditions; providing young people with unique experiences to develop their confidence, global understanding and their ability to manage risk.

My Peak Potential work with Outlook as expedition consultants - particularly for expeditions which are mountain based, where they benefit from our extensive mountaineering expedition experience. Outlook also uses our Alpine training centre, the Carnegie Alpenrose as a base for their 5 Day Intro Link Teacher Training Course.

Speakers from the Edge is a specialist agency representing the best motivational speakers from the world of adventure, exploration and human endurance.

OASE - Alpine Centre

OASE Alpine is a mountaineering centre in Oberstdorf in the Bavarian Alps where leisure becomes an adventure … .. Guided by this motto, they would like to be part of your holiday in the mountains.
