Everyone within an organisation, regardless of their position, should be competent and confident of leading – if not other people then, at the very least, of leading themselves.

The development of leadership is a key component of continuing professional development for everyone working in professions where career paths require them to take on a leadership role. It is particularly relevant to those professions where leadership has not featured in the specific education or training required for gaining entry and achieving initial success. Successful leadership is also transferable, providing a vehicle for fulfillment of career potential, enhancement and change.

The Lead Your Self course facilitates the development of leadership with a particular focus on emotional intelligence. It is for those working in or towards, a leadership role who wish to develop personally and professionally as a leader. It provides the opportunity to learn about and practice leadership.

On this course you will improve your ability to lead, manage & develop yourself. You will Conduct a personal audit and gain insight into your own performance. We will improve on your confidence to meet the challenges of leadership and increasing responsibility. Enabling you to understanding your own drives, motivations and preferences which will speed up your decision making process. You will review and set new personal and professional goals and improve your understanding of the impact you have on others.

The course contains a blend of theory, which is taken from our Masters Degree Programme with Leeds Metropolitan University, and practical application in the outdoors, which provides a powerful learning experience that has real impact and provides lasting change for you and for your organization.

No previous outdoor experience is necessary nor is a particular level of fitness.
