Richie Painting
Trainer
Richie has been involved in outdoor education for 20 years. His experience ranges from schools, colleges and charities to delivery of high level nationally recognised awards and professional staff development. He spent 7 years working as a multi-disciplined coach in adventurous training centres in North Wales where he was responsible for overseeing the delivery of all canoe/kayak courses. His passion for expedition paddling has taken him worldwide including The Himalayas, New Zealand, Australia, North America, Norway, South America and the Alps. Richie is also a Qualified Ski instructor, Mountaineering Instructor and a Summer and Winter Mountain Leader with high altitude experience in Nepal and Chile.
Presently undertaking a BSc degree course in Geology with Oceanography at the University of Southampton, Richie divides his time between his boat in Southampton and his flat in Bavaria.
